I was most impressed by Jimmy butler because he's not in the same tier as the others in the poll. You would expect GOAT level players to carry their team, but I was not expecting that from Jimmy butler.

i dont think I answered so here goes

i think walton is so obviously the answer it shouldn't be close..

walton had only two years under his belt and going into his third in '77.

the starting lineup had the following in experience. lucas likewise 2yrs...hollins 1yr...gross 1yr..twardzik 4yrs

there were no all stars at that point. walton and lucas BECAME all stars that year.

the following year the blazers started out 50 -10, that's a 68game sprint. but walton got injured and the blazers went 8-14.

THAT is how much a young walton carried a young blazers

kareem and bird carrying their team as rookies are 1a and 1b

Not needing to win a title I'd argue LeBron 09 or LeBron 18.

Winning 66 and ending as the 1st seed with Ilgauskas (old), Varejao, Wallace, Delonte, Mo Williams, JJ Hickson and Gibson is a hell of a season. That team might not even break 30 wins without LeBron so it's a hell of a difference maker, let alone steam rolling opponents in the playoffs like they did for the 1st two rounds.

In 18 Cleveland goes into the playoffs with a defensive rating with wich no team ever won a series! And they made it to the finals and almost stole game 1 from GSW. That's absolutely crazy stuff.

Needing to win it all I'd argue Hakeem 94 was the most impressive I've seen, given his importance on defense and offense at the same time.

For peak I'll go Hakeem, but I'm not sure it was a bigger carry job.

Kobe 06 is also a great mention above me, and somehow it's not discussed a lot as his peak.

It has to be up there for sure. Lakers had no business making it in 06 and that year can definitely be argued as Kobe's peak.
