Fully health Embiid is the best player in the league imho. I say this as someone who hates his guts but remove the emotion from evaluation. We were talking about the regular season, right?

probably not. im comparing the skillsets without any context. harden e.g. was a beast and one of the best guards i probably like his skillset over wade for example. but its not a question who is the greater player. playoff choking should have impact on the ranking, noo doubt. same goes for embiid. im not ranking him higher than jokic, im just saying skillwise and fully healthy its a toss up. and i honestly dont know what the persona has to do with the rankings. considering the goat did not have the best persona at all.[/quote]
Because, and I'm not talking about "choking", doing your thing in the PO is just much harder.

Fully healthy, I would say Joel Embiid is top 4.
Some randomness: Joel Embiid is 17-6 against Luka, Jokic, and SGA combined.

Embiid is the most overrated player of this generation

Slight exaggeration but it will get the point across...
I would prefer to build around Demar Derozan than Embiid. If you are going to end up with the same maximum playoff result, I would prefer it be with a guy everyone likes and a guy that was has a legendary work ethic, and teaches it to others, instead of just a really bad example for others.

I don't think I've ever seen a player in my life such as Embiid that gets all these caveats.
It's sad that people dont realize when you play on 60% of your games in the regular season, it's easier to put up guady stats.
Imagine the absurd numbers Lebron in his prime could put up if he played every other game.
Then somehow people totally ignore Embiid 's playoff failures. We're not talking about Dirk (pre title) or Barkley or KG (on Minny). We're talking about a dude who has all star teammates who can't make it out of the second round out of a mediocre eastern conference.
How is this player above the first one even the second best player in the NBA.
There are too many players who put up solid to amazing stats in the playoffs and help their team win (the actual point of the game) as opposed to Embiid who disappears with his team following suit for me to put Embiid in the upper echelon.
Either you're that good and you're bringing your team to conference finals or something is severely lacking.
