His career isn't done, man. He has no bearing on this thread other than whining about his Warriors titles. C'mon.

So what players are you glad were able to win the ultimate prize? Whether it be as the top guy, a roleplayer or someone who just literally rode the bench to success?

Two guys I am incredibly happy to see win a title were Jason Kidd and Ben Wallace.
Recently? Al Horford

Yesss......

I always included Jason Kidd, too.

And Peja got his ring as well. 2011 was just a feel-good story.

Tyson Chandler, Caron butler, and Corey brewer too. Crazy how many names they had on that team

If I remember correctly, quite a few of those Mavericks players were only there for that one season too.

Kevin Garnett. No player's talent has ever been wasted more by a franchise than him, it's absolutely tragic how his prime was squandered.

He remains so hard to assess because his best years were on all those crappy T-Wolves teams.
My unpopular opinion is that genocide is bad and we should speak out against it.

When the T Wolves traded Stephon Marbury they never added anything. KG never had help.

The passion KG showed after placing second in MVP voting and them winning the next season over Tim Duncan was a special moment. KG was fantastic.

Growing up I always thought 2 players who would never win a championship were Jason Williams and Antoine Walker and they ended up winning on the same team. I was moreso neutral about it. Would be like Harden and Chris Paul winning it all.

Dirk, Kidd, Terry, Butler, Marion, and Chandler were six of my favorite players before they teamed up, so for them to get one together is wild.

I really wish Nash, McGrady, and D. Rose won a ring in their prime.

My vote is KG though. That Celtics core in general needed a title on their resume, but KG really did because he should have had a better shot in his prime, but he was too loyal.

Elden Campbell and Leandro Barbosa.

Elden 15 year career and his last game was a win with the 2005 Championship game.

Leandro seem to really wanted to win one.

Barbosa played great for GSW. He played defense, which I didnt even realize he could do.

Aside from the obvious (KG, Pierce, Dirk, Giannis, Joker) i was generally thrilled Clyde Drexler won a chip with the Rockets.

One of my favourite childhood players I watched in the NBA. Will never forget how happy he was when he announced "HOW SWEET IT IS !!!"

Dirk, even though it also came at the expense of the team I support. It was the only silver lining to a very annoying loss.

KG is a good pick here as well. Well deserved after all those years wasted in Minny. Wish he won the FMVP as well, though. Not to say that Pierce didn’t deserve it, but KG was the best player.
