Personally I don't read anything into SL at all, unless guys just look totally clueless and talent deficient even in that setting.

His offense was 'awful' in college also. He was only asked to shoot 3's. He didn't do anything on ball nor in the PnR.

He landed in the perfect situation though. He's not going to be asked to do anything but defend and shoot 3's.

Of course it's as expected for now, but I'm sure everyone hopes he develops a bit more on that end. Not necessarily running the show, but knowing where he should be and getting there for the pass, etc. Not meant to be a knock, just an assessment of where he is at this stage. He looked a bit lost at times.

A good majority of teams will regret not taking someone. It's the nature of a draft where players, 1 including Bryant still, are unproven.

Fun fact… he has as much time as you and me in the NBA.

You and Duff played in the NBA Summer League?

I straight up dominated.

Nikoloz Tskitishvili was no match for Duff.

I think he should have been selected in top 10. Among the players I listed, he will probably end up as the best two-way player. His ceiling is OG and super ceiling is KL, though it is quite far fetched. Spurs get very lucky again.

Who does the 3 release remind you of?

*Early* signs of why I'm confident Carter's O will come along fine...

He turns the ball over more then shots made, as a guy you want to believe ceiling is 3+D, You are worried to ****.

If Maluach is shooting contested 3's better then Bryant open 3's, You are more worried that you might have to bench him to bring in Sochan in tight spots for shooting.

his feel for the offensive side of the game isn't raw, It's not there, I have no confidence he will develop a jumper or any nous in distributing it. Happy to be quoted on this.

So you're saying with certainty that 19-year-old Carter Bryant won't/can't develop his jumper? I'm so confused by these takes.

In real time he went about where he should have. I was surprised a bit that Coward went higher. I might have taken him over Queen, but IDK, time will tell.

He's a 19 year old kid who has only played a handful of summer league games. I am not worried at all. Way too early to be making these types of assessments, good or bad imo

I loved his response when they asked him about his bad shooting. He said im going to be one of the best shooters in the nba in a flat kobe like tone. Haha watxh out for this one. He's got the Mamba Mentality! And his athletics on defense were otherworldly- as in elite as ****. Can't ask for more in summer league from a rook than the flashes we got from him.
