If you live up to your potential, that 15-20% will become rather irrelevant if you can be a multiple time all star.
If he was smart with his money then Giddey is already set for life. He made 27 million on NBA contracts to date and has a $40 million dollar endorsement deal with a cereal company and a deal with Puma (I have no idea how much that is). I bet there are more deals too that I'm missing.
Having said that I think he should take the 88 million offer, but try to get a player option for the last year.
