I personally think $18-20 million per year is appropriately for players like Giddey, Kuminga, Grimes, Thomas, Simons etc. with this new CBA. The new CBA is only going to pay the established stars and pay them handsomely. Everyone else is going to have to get use to a different environment.

How much did Grimes get on the open market? Some of you guys were making Grimes out to be the second coming of Kobe Bryant.

He hasn’t officially signed yet, but 4/67 is the word.
Pretty sure none of us guys that your quoted were hyping him as the next Kobe.
Edit: and that contract is much larger than Kobe’s 2nd contract :)

For the salary cap experts:

Does this affect the aprons?
Rockets are hard capped at first apron but this might allow them to sign another player if first apron number is higher.

No expert but yeah, it should but if it's only by $1 million, not gonna enough to sign anyone worth while. Plus the Rockets already at 14 guys, doubt there's any playing time to be had.

They were about $1.6 M under. An extra $1-2 M would open up the vet min. They probably won’t use it, but it would be nice if someone worthwhile becomes available.

This thread isn't very popular so I'm going to un-stick it haha. There are a bunch of transitions in the OP if anyone is looking for a comprehensive list.

Still reckon there will be one shock blockbuster trade done no one saw coming before the season starts !

This off season has been suspiciously too quiet !!!
