As an Australian, this was my first real chance to talk to folks about basketball, it really enhanced my love of the game, and gave me so much insight into what was happening.

I am very thankful to RealGM, it has strengthened my love of the game.

You know you're a RealGM lifer when:

1. You remember NetsForce
2. You know what kind of floor the fans want in the outdoor stadium
3. You know what's allowed to bring in the outdoor stadium
4. You know who "Carl" is
5. You remember the reply "That's a long ass drive" and who he's referring to

All of this was awesome. We still get references to the outdoor stadium. Lol

Carl is a legend went from post being called fake and locked to it being true and reopened and happen just as they called it.

RealGM was where I learned that forums existed. I visited the site for news only for a year before checking out the forums and almost 50k posts later never looked back. RealGM proved em all wrong!!!

To add, when. I 1st arrived, the teams main pages on here were separate sites that were part of the REALGM network. For the Bulls i remember it was Bulls4ever.com.

This is the only place I can talk to people who care as much about basketball as I do. And I don’t even consider myself some super knowledgable fan compared to many of the posters on this site.

Think I’ve been on here like 15+ years. I come and go as life gets busy. But I do appreciate everyone on this site. Really been appreciating some of the hidden gems on this forum like the guys posting data from way before I was even watching basketball.

At the end of the day it’s a game and I started watching with my dad and watching a game now gives me a sense of being connected with him. And my son has become as obsessed as I am and we routinely talk about my posts or posts other people made and it leads to a fun conversation between us two. And at the end of the day that’s why I am on here. To learn and appreciate an art form. And it’s cool to have a forum that makes that happen.

So thanks everyone. You’re the cats pajamas, you’re dope, you’re sick, and you’re lit. Whatever word resonates with you and your generation as someone I really think is an amazing person and I appreciate you that’s all I want to convey. Thanks guys.
