The US will be favorites for the Olympics regardless, but this might actually make a difference in the World Cup due to Spo's ability to make a good dish out of mediocre ingredients.

Sorry but this isnt true. Tournament knockout basketball vs seeing guys everyday in a long season is a completely different beast. I like the hire but we shall see if he can adapt in tuning a team he has 2 weeks to mold.

Not even that. Most people on this board thought he was a first year head coach when Lebron joined the Heat. When in fact it was his third year and he had already made the playoffs his first two seasons no one but Heat fans paid attention his first two seasons.
