Imagine what the ratings would have been had half the Bay Area not missed nearly half the Dubs game in favor of airing only the Thunder/Rockets in OT. Stupid NBC needs to get their act together.

NFL was over 22M on AVERAGE.

When comparing NFL ratings to other sports there needs to be context. They have several advantages that other sports don’t have. The NFL typically plays on the weekend, particularly on Sunday afternoons, when most are home. They only play 16 games. Football is cultural for many, particularly in the south, this is why many outside the US don’t watch football. You have cities in the south that will shut down for a damn high school football game lol. Comparing NFL ratings to other sports is not a fair comparison when they have advantages to produce higher ratings.

The NFL comparison never makes sense, I've still yet to understand what people think it indicates.

If this thread title said the NBA had its lowest ratings in 15 years, this thread would be 20 pages long. Just shows how people love negativity over positivity.

Clark is a huge boost. But the WNBA is definitely on the up swing even without her. They definitely have something to look forward to.

NBA isn't as big as NFL. So what? It is doing very well. Internationally, it is much bigger than the NFL.

NFL teams play 17 games, and only play once a week. The league's model is making each and every game a big family event.

Yes the NFL is bigger than the NBA, but comparing viewers per game skews the idea a bit.

The whole idea of tailgating and barbecuing with the family, many do it after church. Football is just different.

Continued good news for the NBA

Ratings up:

Revenue up:

But the NBA is dying!
people aren’t watching!
Silver is a bad commissioner!

Give me a break, people love negativity.
