As a Piston fan, I'm grateful that the bank was broken on guys like Desmond Bane and Mikal Bridges

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

interesting thoughts. I'd hate that if I was a Pistons fan.

Bane is still going through an adjustment period and just had a buzzer beater winning shot for Orlando, and Mikal has been awesome for the Knicks.

a core starting lineup with a +45 in 101 min played has a fit issue?
Where are you getting your stats lol they're a +18.2

Furthermore the starters don't play 48 minutes together, per game.

The Magic are .500 and well below preseason expectations. Banchero going down is a blessing in disguise.

Yea saw nba.com slow af getting those updated lol

Either way - fact remains starting core lineup of Suggs-Bane-Franz-Paolo-WCJr has been great and it’s Orlando’s bench play that has largely been the issue, so I don’t see the early struggles as a core fit or Paolo issue. Underperforming expectations from the team as a whole and from some individual players - now that I agree with.

Every year people forget that the NBA season is 9 months long. Never fails.
