I kind of hope Baron doesn't make it. That just gives him more rest and more motivation to finish the second half of the season strong.

So, in theory, despite a legitimate PG not starting FOUR could make the roster (two G's and the 11th and 12th men)?
Paul, Davis, Williams, and Nash could all get in on this?

Williams would be the last one to make out of all of them and I think as a reserve, they would have to select someone like Josh Howard or Al Jefferson, etc, because they are having better individual seasons.

Yup. I don't see why anyone thinks there's a strong chance of AI missing the all-star game.

Thank God for Shaq's injuries.
There aren't many *better* "centers" in the East, and I fear we'd have to suffer through an all-star appearance if he were healthy.
I'd just consider Chris Bosh a C and pave way for a deserving F (Jamison, Wallace, Smith, etc) that would likely get snubbed.

Coaches votes can be totally unpredictable.....we've seen on many occassions average players voted in. So, it's not out of the Q for coach X to vote for (insert borderline All-Star on a good team) so that his player has a better chance of going....whether it's Paul, Davis, Parker or whomever. Enough coaches take up that line of thinking and we get a borderline All-Star player and someone who truly deserves to be there will be siting at home.

Manu Ginobli should be selected over Iverson this year.

One could argue that he still deserves to be on the team, regardless.

well i mean it is all star weekend after all and guys like josh howard and al jefferson may have played better than Mac but it doesn't change the fact that they aren't stars while T-Brick is.

"Half Man Half Season" T-Mac should be the one left off.

mcgrady was playing at top5 player level the first month and a half of the season, people here have very short memory, now that he is injured and he can't defend himself playing guys say he is not an all-star, pathetic.

mcgrady and carter should always go, they add something else.
