Will VC, T-Mac, Ray Allen, or Shaq...

Post#1 » by etopn23 » Fri Jan 25, 2008 5:52 am

...ever participate in the all-star game again?

I'm just wondering what the general opinion is about these players on RealGM. I haven't heard much mention of any of them come all-star time which is pretty unusual.

Probably not. Not even T-Mac considering all the great young guards coming up in the West. (Roy, Deron, Paul).

Edit: Actually, I don't know if I'd say never again, I'm pretty sure Shaq never makes it again. But Vince, Ray and Mac still could, I just don't consider them perennial all-star players anymore. I doubt any of those three make it this year. Maybe Ray Allen because of how dominate Boston has been.

Unless Dwight Howard gets traded to the West, Shaq probably won't make it again.

Shaq really has no chance of making the all-star game anymore, Mac still has a chance of getting voted in... As for Allen and Carter... I think Allen is done as well but as for Carter, the only way he makes it is if the Nets don't suck next year (meaning they're actually good).

Actually now that I just mentioned that... Carter won't make the All-Star game ever again either...

allen is going to be playing 3rd fiddle for the rest of his career. i doubt he makes it again. i don't think its unreasonable to think carter could make it again, its even more likely tmac makes its again. the guy was being voted in as starter for most of the season despite being hurt most of the time. if he had simply played in a few more games he'd still be getting the votes and be starter. shaq is done.

yeah NetsForce = one of my fave Posters
to the Topic i believe T-Mac and Carter could probaly make it again.

and a pick i havent seen but i still think could make it again is Ray Allen.

shaq is done inless they keep letting fans decide who goes than you could pencil him in for next year again.

Tracy definitely will.
Vince is doubtful in my opinion, but, i think hell have a decent year next year and hell get votes sleepwalking so who knows.
As much as i hate to say it Shaq seems done, so no.
And Ray will make it this year but im not sure about down the road, id say it would take another start like this by the Celtics to get him in.

Yeah, Ray will definitely be a reserve this year. The Pistons got off to a great start a couple years ago, and had 4 all-stars, no chance they leave out a member of the Big 3.

TMac will probably make it again. Vince is possible. Shaq may even be voted in as a reserve C, just based on reputation (although it looks like this year would be his last to do so)

If McGrady stays healthy next year he will be starting again. The problem with that is his health seems to be a 50/50 deal.
