What happens if a player is traded within the voting time-frame?
Say, half-way through?

It's clear to me that Kidd would play for the East. His votes and statistics couldnt' translate over to the Western conference.

There is no way he would play for the East.

He would be in the West at the time of the game, and would play for the West.

Why would he play against Dirk, Roy, 'Melo, or whoever else would be his teammate at the time of the game.

Why would it be so difficult to add a player to the West roster as the article suggested?

Didn't this happen to Iverson when he went to Denver. I think his votes just carried over, but since the voting is done I'm not sure what happens.

You think Jason Kidd would get voted in, by the coaches OR the fans, as a PG in the West? Who gets snubbed now? Nash? Iverson? Paul?
Do you think his statistics would be the same in the West? If he played with, say, Los Angeles, don't you think that Odom/Mihm/Brown/Turiaf/Walton/Bynum would have stolen some of his rebounds? After all, his work on the boards more or less maintains his elite status, making up for his poor shooting performances.
He was traded after the voting closed. He was voted in as the Eastern conference starter, judging by his performance in the Eastern conference relative to fellow Eastern conference players at his position.
=he plays for the East in the all-star game. He hasn't played a game with a Western team yet, so why would he suit up and represent them in an exhibition game?
