believe it or not, there were hornets fans who DIDN'T want to see us make the playoffs during the OKC (or as we like to call it, YHT: Your HomeTown) years.

they feared that the nationally televised games combined with the good crowds in OKC (all playoff games were to played in OKC despite the fact that New Orleans Arena was ready before then) would shape peoples' opinions that the Hornets should have stayed in Oklahoma permanently.

i thought their fears were valid, but i wanted to see chris paul and david west get playoff experience. we played miami in west's (and d-wade's) rookie year, but he rarely saw the floor.

we barely missed out both years so that point became moot

Last year, I was hoping for Blazers wins / having the young guys develop / somehow combining the previous 2 and getting a top pick.

Sometimes it works out.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

I just hope to keep it from being embarrassing, which has somewhat been the case with Miami this year. I think we've choked about 25-30 fairly close games or something of that nature. It's meaningless to win yourself out of lottery position when the playoffs are impossible, but you don't want to go on those ugly 15-game losing streaks either.

What I root for = the young players. I want to see who can be apart of the future.

Heat fan here, I'll tell you what this season is so much better than the few years of mediocrity we had before. At least there is a decent draft pick at this end of this season waiting. But I love to watch Dorrell and Cook develop, but i do want the win every now and then. I mean we have won one game in the last 22 games and that is rather had to swallow.

Seeing this topic and knowing I was eligible to post a response just made me :(

To answer the question I usually spend 1/2 the game cursing Ben Wallace, the other half cursing Jim Boylan

I actually feel really bad for my neighbours, and my friends neighbours because we spend a fair amount of the game screaming at the tv

Most common questions/comments ill ask/make during a game

"Please pass it Noc, just once"

"Kirk.. STOP DRIBBLING THE BALL and run the play!"

"Why is Griffin playing?"

"Do you think Tyrus slept with Boylans daughter?"

"Why the hell is Khryapa on the court?"

"Why are they throwing the ball to Ben Wallace?"

"How do you lose a double digit lead in under than 1 min"
