Ben Wallace for Kirilenko??

Post#1 » by Veez » Sun Feb 10, 2008 10:48 pm

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/ ... kirilenko/

thats what they're sayin...and i think that'd be a dumb move for utah..on top of taking on ben's radioactive contract..they'd be trading for a aging center who's past his prime and relies on his athleticism to be affective..plus..AK is huge for them..he does so much for them..kinda like shaq for marion part 2...cept ben is much worse..i hope utah does it though..it'll only help the lakers

edit: welp..i guess AK makes more than ben

Sounds to me like something the writer was just tossing out there, not a legit rumor (you know what I mean lol).

why should smith get bashed for just throwing out a fantasy trade idea like many posters here do? the person who takes what smith wrote as a rumor and spreads it should get bashed.

Because Sam Smith gets paid to do what he does, and he does it very poorly.

who thought gasol gets traded for so little back?

who thought mia would get shaqs 40mil off the books? & especially get a prime all-star back?

who thought boston could get allen & garnett in 1 off-season while keeping peirce?

ak47 for bigben? we've seen stranger things. Utah seems like a smart org though.

Sam Smith is a moron. Larry Miller and Jerry Sloan would also be moron's for even considering this deal an option.

Seriously, Sam just throws crap out there which is mostly just speculation or rubbish that he has conjured up during the day, little that he writes or reports is worth taking seriously.

As a bulls fan, we have to deal with this stuff far to often. We learn, well some of us learn to move on and ignore whatever it is that he has written.

I was wondering what the hell Utah would be thinking when I saw the wiretap, but when I actually pressed on it and saw "Sam Smith," then there was really no need to read anymore. The guy is as credible as me making a rumor "Rockets discussing Alston for LeBron deal, but refuse to include Francis."

Not only is this bad for Utah, it's always bad for Chicago, as it makes them very thin at the 5 and adds to their problems. Sam Smith or not, I just can't picture this trade happening, but I would love to see AK play for another team.

Well they saying the main reason is that daron william's contract extension is coming up which they need to pay max for... therefore they need salary room... but it makes utah a lot worse... wallace has very little left in his tank... i thought shaq was in the same position wallace was in terms of declining, but we'll see.

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Believe me, any deal that doesn't involve the Bulls taking back one of the few contracts worse than Wallace's (e.g. Dampier's) will do nothing but solve problems for the Bulls.

There would be no appreciable gain for Utah except that Wallace's contract is a year shorter.

Other than that, it's an hysterically stupid trade idea.

Ordinarily i'd say no way in hell.......... you know, considering all the BAIL OUT trades we've gotten.... Memphis bails out LAL by giving them Gasol for an expiring contract, Phoenix bailing out Miami by taking the HUGE contract that had Miami mired in financial hell for 2 or 3 more years.... at this rate, yeah sure why not, let Utah BAIL OUT Chicago by taking the one long contract that hamstrings.

Sam Smith is so lucky he was once the head of his union. Any other person would have been fired by now.
