You seem to hate the Suns with a passion, so I'm not surprised you think that way
Actually, all I had to do was read your initial reaction to the Shaq to Phoenix trade rumor thread to know it would devastate your team.
Do you recall what you said before the trade became official?
Those same sentiments you expressed, I continue to express. You just are "ok" with it now cause you have no choice.

good point because the initial emotion was negative by many suns fans, myself not included.
however, after watching the suns look just fine without shawn and realizing how much shaq could add to shore up their weaknesses, most suns boosters are now quite excited.
i dont think its rare to be initially concerned about losing a guy you've loved for almost a decade but after that passes this trade looks awfully good on paper

It's how every Suns fan felt.
Then when I really thought about it..wasn't so bad, then hearing Shaq's words to Nash "I won't let you down." and what he said during the press conference even made it more soothing.
I never thought about the whole Shaq was Amare's idol growing up...Since Shaq has been a Sun, Amare is averaging 29.7 ppg/14 rpg/2.2 bpg... He's motivated..this team is more focused but you wouldn't know that since you've said before you don't watch the Suns.
We've played with much more intensity, especially tonight..Shaq has loosened it up

See, I need to stop looking at box scores are watch the games. I figured near losses to the lowly Supersonics and Wizards plus a loss to the Warriors was an indication the team is not firing at all cylinders. But then again, evidently the story tells more than the boxscore does...

Just watched Suns/Warriors - wild, fun game
Warriors are absolutely ridiculous - Monta Ellis killed the Suns
Not sure about Grant Hill having this big of a role now.
Some may be hoping, but a lot of people have substantial and truthful points about the Shaq trade having mixed results at best, or just not working out. I'm of the former.
I don't think the Shaq of recent and now and the future commands "hope" for it to not work out. It's different now with Shaq being injury prone, his aging, decline of his game (even in a lesser role, it's still a significant role), and possible motivation issues after the initial times. As Shaq's motivation has been inconsistent over the years, from what I've learned. Mainly though, it's all about his health.
Time will tell, but there's going to be some jolts and chinks over the next 2 1/2 years.
Now if Shaq somehow does stay relatively healthy (which is a lot to ask of Shaq) and plays like he did in 2006 - as I've said before with this, I'll own up to being wrong, and be surprised. But with the legitimate factors there with Shaq's reliability, the indication and likelyhood goes against the former.
And, this is of course in the new, improved, continuing to improve, and stacked western conference.
Going to be striking (rather than "interesting" all the time
) for sure in Phoenix.
Steve Kerr said twice on TV that chemistry was fine, relating to Marion. But that there was a "stale" feeling and a "spark" wasn't really there wirh the team.

So, add a Shaq in the middle to plug things up on D and offensively rebound? still maintain that it will be sick. fans of other WC teams are hoping otherwise which i understand but the signs point to a sick suns team.
time will tell
