Look, I never said he was a GOLDEN STATE FAN, I meant a Monta Ellis fan. I guess I overreacted, but this is a pointless thread because everyone knows that Monta Ellis is good. If they don't know that by now, they are lost.

I'd take Monta over him as well.

He's been fantastic, getting into the lane at will, his mid-range game has been the best in the NBA and it's not even too much competition and the efficiency he's done it at (over 52%) is absolutely amazing. The guy is a stud and will be even better as the years go by. He's already an unstoppable scorer.

If/when Monta develops a 3pt shot, it'll take 3 people to guard him.

As is, he can already hit a mid-ranger consistantly, get to the rim at will, and finish around the basket. I see him as something like Tony Parker in the future, without the sh*tty French rap albums.

Ellis is just a monster. He has been playing out of his mind lately and just torched the Suns tonight, while playing the whole 48 min of the game. Thats just incredible. He never forces any thing either, all his shots come in the flow of the game. Very rarely do you see him take a bad shot, which is unlike Jackson and B.Davis who are good for a couple of questionable shots a game.

A more athletic and quicker Tony Parker with the mid range shot of Rip Hamilton.

Eh, Ellis is prone to score high points due to the offense of the Warriors and defense of the Suns... Regardless, Ellis is a beast in recent games...

Monta is turning out to be one hell of a player. No argument here, put down the haterade and give the man his props.

more athletic yes but is not quicker and his handles are not as good too. He is another SG trapped in a (super)PG body.

Monta is great, but I'm going to name some players that clearly are better as pure scorers IMO:

Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
LeBron James
Kevin Martin

And Monta had pretty good shot selection. Even though he's playing for Don Nelson, he still controls himself into not shooting any 3s.

37 points with only 2 FT attempts and 0 3point attempts.

The fact that his name is gettin brought up in the same sentence as those guys just shows u how good he's been and can be in the future. He's gonna get paid nicely this offseason. I wouldn't give him the big bucks though as I don't think he's gonna be as good as the contract that he'll get.

OR it could mean that he's being overrated.

That's like me using Patrick O'Bryant in the same sentence as Tim Duncan saying that he's good.
