Josh smith - has been great help defender and man defender (if not a beast on both sides)

Kobe - has been great man defender and good help defender

Camby - beast help defender and okay man defense

KG - good help defense and decent one on one defense

Smith and Kobe takes on guards and forwards

KG and Camby takes on bigs.

I don't know their opponent FG% but

out of kobe and smith, probably smith takes it

and out of kg and camby so far its camby.

In order it will be like this

1/2 smith, camby
3. kobe
4. Garnett

Camby or Kobe

no east players deserve any awards

except Horford is rookie of the year.

Agreed, but people are so stuck on thinking that blocks and steals= bad D, that they won't give props OR they think blocks and steals are everything....

Smith has been at worst a top 3 overall defender this year IMO.

Yeah, in his first 2 seasons I would agree with the haters, but he started to improve last season, and this season he is a key reason we have a top 10 defense. Everytime he leaves the game, teams just "happen" to start getting layups.

The entire Atlanta zone defense revolves around Josh Smith's presence. He just doesn't guard the paint, he roams freely according to the situation. He's fast and dexterous enough to defend guards and strong enough to deny forwards and centers.
