Best team, if no fouls were called.

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 8:37 pm

Just wondering what would be the best lineup you could put on the court if players were allowed to be as physical as they liked. Pushing, shoving, grabbing, etc, are all allowed, and the only way to combat it is to be even more physical on the other end.

My attempt

C - Shaq = Got to have the biggest boy on the floor. Shaq should control the paint, after all, no 3 second rule, and who's strong enough to move him out of there?

PF - Rasheed = I have to think Rasheed unleased is a marvel to behold. He'll spread the floor and hold his own against any offensive player.

SF - Artest = Duh.

SG - Bruce Bowen = I thought about this a lot and decided that the two most important skills for my SG would be 3pt shooting and defense. Slashers need not apply as the paint will be a no-no for guards.

PG - Chauncy Billups = Again, I went with defense and 3 point shooting.

Cc Howard
PF Garnett
SF James
SG Allen
PG Kidd

You've got to think both offensively and defensively. Offensively, you cant hack what you cant catch as this team would simply out run everyone. Defensively, you've still got a monsterous front court and a big backcourt.

I think you'd be better off with an NFL linebacking core than with any current NBA players.

Any team with Shaq or Dwight on it would be terrible if there were no foul calls. They would be completely ineffective with 2-3 guys grabbing them at all times.

PG- James
SG- Artest
SF- Garnett
PF- Howard
C- Shaq
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

I'd go big in the back court, but there still need to be a couple semi-respectable shooters on the floor.

C - Dwight
F - Garnett
F - Artest
G - James
G - Bryant

I got to thinking and I guess 3 seconds would still be a call. You've still got to have violations. Otherwise goal tending would be allowed, and nobody would ever score.

So, basically just letting them play as physical as they like, but, otherwise still basketball.

Carmelo and KG would immediately no longer be allstars since they would be to busy running away from confrontation.
