Bonzi/James have had problems in the past, here's hoping those times are behind them. In any case, Paul, West, Chandler, and Scott, won't tolerate them being "cancers."

They aren't going to ruin anything, worst case, they don't help.

edit: also, nobody cares about Mike James. nothing is riding on him. Pargo >>> James. if he doesn't "buy" into his role he'll just ride the pine or get bought out. Bonzi was the focal point of this deal, he's exactly the kind of hard-nosed defender/slasher they need. he's essentially a less sucky version of Desmond Mason.

the only thing that really matters with Mike James is that his contract comes off the books right around the time CP3 will be signing his max extension.

To all those people saying Bonzi is a hard nose defender...

I'm sorry, but after watching him play the entire season, he is an absolute atrocious defender. He has been playing good for the rockets for a couple weeks now, however before that, he was highly inconsistent.

That is just a ridiculous comment. Wells is a solid defender. He did not all of a sudden stop playing solid defense because he was traded away from your favorite team.

What the hell?

Im telling it like it is. I watched every single Rockets game this year. I think I have more credibility on Bonzi Wells' defense then you do.

I'm not trying to downplay the trade at all.

Despite being the hole in the Hornets defense SF's don't seem to have gone off on the Hornets. Bonzi doesn't need to be a great defender for the Hornets. They need someone who can post up or slash and he can kind of do both of those things. I doubt this trade will be important though.

Hahaha. Wells is a poor defender who gambles a lot -- gets steals sometimes but also gets beaten a lot. He is anything but solid, believe me. I remember the Cavs-Rockets game on ESPN -- Wells was in, they brought in LeBron and instantly LeBron scored like 7 straight points driving to the basket. Battier comes back in and the LeBron doesn't smell the paint area for the rest of the game.

but in the end, Wells' +/- is 14, Battier is -3.

You're living on another planet if you think the Rockets will ever give up Battier to get Artest. Of course the Kings would be all over that in a New York minute.

No way.

Ron Artest is a superior player to Battier, except personality-wise. Though when it's not iffy (which really hasn't been too much since the brawl), I love Artest's fun and competitive personaility.

Brooks I don't think quite fits as starting PG, so would probably have to be the Kings back-up. If he'll stick around (which from what I've seen and read, I'd think he would, along with the Kings wanting him in the draft), Beno or Douby won't be back this summer.
