So if a player isn't a back to the basket player, he's not a "big man"? Dirk's not a big man?

More like a "big woman" if you ask me!!!

If Amare were the best big in the league, you would still be in Miami.

Same way that if Kobe was the best player/best since Jordan/better then Jordan his team would've made the playoffs in his first season without Shaq and advanced past the first round the past couple of seasons.

Shaq is a huge fan of modern statistical analysis:

if stoudamire can duplicate the same amount of intensity and effort he puts in offense in defending, then he would probably be up there with the elites, but he is more concerned about his image while dunking(firing his agent for not making him more marketable) and putting people in posters. If you watched the pistons game you can see his lack of dedication to defending.

People actually arguing Dwight Howard is a better big man than Tim Duncan. That's the story of this thread.

what about Bosh, people seem to forget him outright whenever they talk about best big men or best PFs in the league. For me he is easily top 5 PFs in the league if not top three. People discount him out even when talkin' about best of 2003 class, even though he's probably most offensively gifted PF in the league.
