After seeing the Lebron/Jay Z Thread. I started wondering, what would happen if a couple of high paid players LeBron, Kobe, Mike Finley etc. could form an ownership group that would buy an NBA team.
So hypothetically, these players would be on the same team they are right now, but have ownership stakes in another team.
Possible?
EDIT: Also, how would the control trades, because obviously the ownership group would have to the final say..
Can a player own an NBA team and still play in the NBA?

That's (Please Use More Appropriate Word) if thats true. They should at least be allowed to own a team, but not have any of type say in what management does. I realize that would be a hard task for the NBA to regulate, though.

Magic bought 5% of the Lakers in 1994,then sold it back so he could make his comeback and then repurchased it when he retired again
