except for the fact that the slate is not clean, Lebron is still on the team, and he hasn't gotten any worse...Lebron will wear down the Raptops in the playoffs, or any team really...it's up to the opposing team to stop dead the rest of the team...like the Spurs did...

^

Except for the fact that the Cavs missed the playoffs two years in a row before Larry Hughes and Marshall arrived, and now the Cavs are pinning their hopes on three over 30 veterans.

My point is simply that it's far too early to make a judgement on how good the Cavs are.

except for the fact that James is better and more experienced today than he was then...and he has a seemingly better cast now than then...I just think it's easier to argue that they are better than worse at this point...James is a freak and he has a stranglehold on the league right now...

I'm not saying that he isn't an extraordinary player.

But no one knows how good this team is. They may work out to be better, they may work out to be worse, but they're still a work in progress. It's still uncertain. It's absurd to not even take it into consideration on a discussion of the Cavs playoff chances.

And as good as Lebron is, they still got swept by the Spurs. So the rest of his team matters.

I'm a huge Raptor fan, but no one can stop Lebron.

I hate to say it but Cavs in 6.

Dude, I left the defention in my post. And I said I used mute intstead of moot because I think there interchangable in the context used as well. That's what I meant by using the word same meaning.

Wich I actualy used same meaning in the same way you used mute when it should of been moot. If the context fits it's legit.

I wasn't trying to prove anyone wrong.

Lebron is still only one player... Don't talk about Game 5 of the ECF last year because I was watching it live and I know Lebron is a monster.

I also was watching live when Lebron singlehandedly lead Cleveland back from twenty to beat the Raptors at home this year.

I think he is the best player in the NBA but if his team does not mesh the Raps could pull off an upset because the Raptors are a year older and have alot of weapons. If Bosh and Bargnani get hot from outside the Cavs are going to find themselves in a dogfight.

Now I still think the Cavs win this series but it is kinda worthless talking about it right now because the current Cavs squad has been togethor for less than 5 games.

I've got to go with James. The only person who can stop james are his teammates, because no one on raptors can stop him.

princeofpalace wrote:Well as a Pistons fan I have no qualms whatsoever if Tdot & Cleveland play each other in round 1 because that means that Cleveland will face Boston in round 2 while Detroit will continue their ownage of the Magic in round two.

The Raps are a pretty good team but a motivated Lebron team will get past them fairly easily (I say Cavs in 5).

What ownage? You mean the season split this year?

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Cavs in 5. Don't see the Raps having any chance against LeBron. Someone is gonna heckle him in Toronto and he is gonna go off.
