As for AI, you can only stay that quick for so many years. 2 more years and he will decline hard and fast.

the odds are getting better for that but they've been saying that since 2001  by 2006 he was supposed to be a role player/bench player, not average 33pg. Even when he loses a step he's still better balanced and more agile than everyone. He'll be a solid older player

AI said he's retiring at 39 so that means he has about 6 more years to get 7,000 pts. He'll do it.

I don't think you get that averaging 1000 points for the next 7 seasons is like averaging 12 ppg.

He will get it for sure if hes not injured a lot.

Btw, LeBron is pretty much a lock to get 30k unless he has career ending injury.

I would say Lebron has a great shot, but lock no. He has to play at the level he's playing now for 10 more years. He has a good chance, but I wouldn't call it a lock by any means.

ok common. he has 10k now. he needs 20k which is 2000 a year for 10 years. he'll get it in 8. remember playoffs?

No way do playoff points count do they?

Also, you can't say somebody is a lock to do something when they have to do it over an entire decade.

There are so many things that can happen between now and then. Players numbers can tail off with the most obvious reason being Father time taking away their athleticism and injury

And some player just have no desire to play that long

pretty sure people would have thought TMac had a shot after his first couple of years and then the injuries happened.

Playoffs have nothing to do with the regular season, and those stats are separate.
I remember your posts from the RPOY project, you consistently brought it. Please continue to do so, sir. This board needs guys like you to counteract ... worthless posters
