Yeah, you definitely don't watch the Hawks play.

KG or Duncan should get it. KG probably will get it.

It'll be a travesty if Tim Duncan never gets a DPOY, just because he's not too flashy. Being flashy shouldn't matter as much as it does, and I don't think it should with Duncan, because aside from being a great defensive player, Duncan still has the blocked shots, and being a big man, stands out. Also aside from being the main part of top 3 defenses every season (I think).

Duncan should of got it last year over Camby. Duncan was/is a superior overall defender, and anchored the best defense in the league. Oh, and the Spurs went 25-6 the last 31 games of the season. 25-3 if you don't count the last 3 games of the season.

At least Duncan has his over-time performance season to season, Spurs defensive rankings, and all the all-nba-defense selections. :)

Smith's team simply isn't good enough. He's an individually great defensive talent, but his defense hasn't carried his team. Guys like Artest, Big Ben, and Camby of years past have that argument going for them.

Although I thought Artest over Big Ben was a joke, and then Big Ben winning it in 05-06 was a joke.

Well, at least we aren't Cleveland... seriously... Indians, Cavs, Browns... ouch.

Why hasn't KG been in such serious talks of MVP/DPOY until he came to the Celtics? He's the same player he's always been, how is he all of the sudden MVP or DPOY?

You do know that he already won the MVP once, right?

Duncan won't get it this year, but if he averages 2 blocks next year and the Spurs finish near the top in defensive rank, the voters will give him one on reputation IMO barring somebody having a monster defensive season..they already **** up by not giving him one already, so he better get one next year..
