The Suns made a big mistake in trading Marion for Shaq. That was my gut reaction when I heard that the trade went down, and it's still how I feel.

Can't say I blame the Suns for making a move, but that was certainly the wrong move. Say what you want about Shaq not being responsible, but it seems clear as ever that this trade is the reason they are struggling on both ends of the floor. In hindsight, they really should have kept Kurt Thomas. That would have kept them in serious contention at least this season and next. From what I'm seeing now, they look like they are done. It'll be interesting to see what they do when both Nash and Snaq expire. They'll have some serious cash to get some rock solid pieces.

I agree completely. The only time I thought this trade might just work for the suns was the pre-game show for the suns/pistons game. They really built it up. Then the Pistons wiped the floor with Phoenix.
