Yes, he's the X-Factor for the Rockets. When he shoots well, the Rockets usually win.

Together with Scola and Landry he is the biggest reason for our winning streak , he is playing great.
Gets more freedom and is not limited to spot up shooting only.

Rafer missed all shots in the 4th or the game should not have been so close :banghead:

should be in top5 of most improved players, not in term of individual stats but what he add to the team.
like shabi said, if you want to know whats the key of the team, it's all about chemistry (young people who is motivated also), rick adelman, landry (let scola be starter and not play hayes lots of minutes), and alston who is playing better than ever.

As many will tell you. Regardless of competition...when Alston plays well...we win. He is just that type of guy. He is the guy they leave open...When he makes shots our offense is unstoppable as shown tonight against Dallas.

Rafer's not underrated at all.

Though I will give him some credit - he was the only PG that flourished under Adelman's offense.

Rafer Alston? the one with the title "the 2nd worst starting PG in the Western Conference behind Smush Parker" last season?

Remember the thread from just a couple weeks ago about "Why is Rafer Alston still starting in the NBA" or some nonsense?

Yea, that was funny. Good times!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

The reason that Rafer has stepped up his game is because of Adelman's offense. Under JVG, all Alston did was shoot spot up 3s. Under Adelman, he's been moving the ball very well and penetrating a ton, and that's why his game has improved.

no one likes to mention his defense. you can obviously argue that his offensive production this season is due to the system hes playing in...

but he has always been a very good defender.
