who'll get the 8th seed. Sixers and Wizards I think are a lock for 6th and 7th seeds.

I want it to be the Pacers, because I like Diener and want to see him start at PG for a playoff team on national TV (or at least play, if Tinsley's back), but I don't think they'll make it.

Going by your assumptions and this list, I'd say the Nets.

Hawks are both the most talented and the most hungry of the 4 teams, I'll go with them.

I hope my Pacers lose every game left on the schedule. Jerryd Bayless or bust.

Hawks are the most talented but they are not hungry at all. I think the Bulls could get hot and nab the 8 seed.

The Nets have been playing like complete turds for a while now but are still the 8th seed... I'm going to go with the Nets because of that... I mean as bad as the Nets have sucked other teams have sucked worse so I think the Nets are going to get the 8th seed by default

The Bulls are only 1 game back of being in the 8th spot and they started playing much better since the trade.

As much as it sounds weird to say this, Hughes fits the team very well... from the games I've watched them play in the last couple of weeks I'd say they'll sneak into that 8th spot over the Nets.

I don't get why the Hawks aren't a better team...

They have a good pg, a good SG, a great defensive pf, and a should-be ROY center. Other than the fact that their front court is kind of short, they have a very good lineup...and in the east no less, should be about a 6th seed
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

I'm going with my Nets because even though we're losing on this road trip, not one of these teams are taking advantage. I think it comes down to the Nets and Bulls however. And the sixers may even drop out late. I think for the 7th and 8th spots it'll come down to Nets, Bulls, Sixers.

Either way, Boston sweeps.

seeing how pathetic those teams are (I'm a Nets fan too) I wouldn't be surprised if Charlotte get's back in the mix.

what's the worse regular season record for an 8th seed ... ?

Sixers are not locked for 7th seed. Sixers have a tough schedule coming up and Bulls play them twice.

I really think Bulls will make th 7th seed and Philly will get the 8th seed. Bulls will also have a tie breaker IMO as well.

This is how I see it will end up:

Boston
Detroit
Orlando
Cleveland
Toronto
Washington
Chicago
Philly

Edit: There is no way Pistons Sweep Bulls either. Pistons will win but it will go 6-games.

I can see a team winning 36 games and getting into the playoffs.

The 8th place Nets are on pace to win 34 games.

Same problem as the Bulls, except for Joe every starter is good, but not great, no all-stars, and definitely no Hall of Famers. Being average in this league gets you about 7th-8th seed in the playoffs, exactly where both teams are at.

Going from a terrible team to a decent one is easy, going from a decent team to a high seed playoff team is a much more difficult project for GMs.
