When did the Hawks have the second best young core in the NBA. There young group may not even be as good as the Bobcats, Bulls, Sonics, Blazers, Twolves etc.

Point is he is playing C and at the position he is top 15 with potential to be top 10 at the position.

Al Jefferson is a terrible comparison because they don't have another guy on the team capable of being a top 10 PF like Josh SMith.

If you have a top 10 PF and a top 15 C with potential to be top 10, why mess with it.

As far as it hurting the Hawks, that's not even close to true. What hurts the team is youth and coaching more than ANYTHING.

The Blazers are the only team that can matchup in terms of young talent right now. Perhaps another team will when they get one of the super Freshmen from college, but right now Portland is the only team with more young talent.

richboy is ridiculous with his Horford hate, he went back and forth with tsherkin for a long time on why Horford wouldn't be able to block shots, rebound, or be a good scorer in the league.

Josh Smith, Al Horford and Mario West are about the only Hawks players you'll see me defending. Possibly Joe if he keeps up playing well.

This is how the hawks should be fixed...

Fire Woodson
Fire Knight
Make the nba commish force a new rule that only 1 person can be owner, meaning new ownership or cut down on multi owner ship.

Sounds good to me!

People are crazy if they think they should blow up the team. This roster is far too promising with young talent to blow it up without getting a real head coach.

Even with the coach holding the team back they are poised to have a shot to make the playoffs for the first time this century.

We definitely need some depth. We need a backup big man more than anything. Zaza Pachulia is the worst thing ever (although he did get 9 boards tonight somehow)

Problem is we have no draft picks :(

Maybe we can pick up that Patrick O'Bryant kid or something.
