probably should mention since scola has been in the starting lineup and getting consistent minutes, the rockets put this together.

Any team can go on losing streak and drop out of PO. Remember crappy teams enjoy spoiling things too, so expect some upsets as well.

You know Yao said that if the Rockets made the finals, he will return to play for them. So this could be like a Cinderella story, with the Prince Yao sweeping Tracy off to a happy ever after.

No, Yao meant to say if the Finals were today (today meaning the time he was talking to the news reporters), then he would have played the through the injury. He can't make in time even if the Rockets somehow miraculously won the WCF. He has already has surgery and now it's too late.

I think McGrady is done after this season. By that I mean he will be on the decline. He should have been done this season due to injuries but has since been rejuvenated because of the streak and having to lead the Rockets without Yao. After this season I don't think he will have anything left in the tank. You can see him now even during this run he doesn't have the blow by ability he once had in his youth. He would have to develop a deadly jump shot to be anywhere as effective as he once was or even as effective as this season.

I thought this was the Lakers year, Celts fans thought it was their year. Now I'm wondering. I started to wonder if the Rockets are a team of destiny and thought about Yao.

Truth is I think there is a possible chance Yao is back.

They say 4 months but if you read up on his injury and surgery it's 3 MONTHS to heal, the last month is based on getting your wind up for NBA games.

Also Yao is apparently using TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) with the very best TCM doctors from China. Now I read up on this and basically it's a fact that with something like a broken bone TCM WILL lower the recovery time by 2 weeks to 1 month depending on how fast the person heals.

I then looked at Yao's previous recovery times from injuries and apparently Yao is a VERY fast healer.

Yao would be at 6 weeks out for the playoffs, 10 weeks out at the Western Conference Finals. If the Rockets somehow managed to get the #1 seed in the West then they could have a shot at making the conference finals. They could get a winnable first round series, and then someone like New Orleans or Utah maybe in the 2nd round, also winnable for them.

It's actually not out of the question at all that Yao might be ready for a conference final, despite that the Rockets just said he was done ()they obviously had no clue the team would keep this up).
