In June were gonna be talking about how Boston just ran the table in the playoffs and then Laker fans are gonna boo hoo their way into the conversation by saying "but Pau and Andrew..". Im more annoyed that this happened over anything else.
yes, because gasol and bynum are just minor players. its like saying that ifthe celtics lost garnett and pierce for the playoffs that celtics fans should not be expected to complain or whine.

No. Its more like saying that if the celtics lost Ray Allen & Pierce. KG is the best player on the Celts, like Kobe is on the Lakers.
Hehe, sorry just minor correction.

If you meant that as good news that it's not serious, kudos to you!
(If you meant it the other way... the most pathetic form of "fans" are people who get excited when the team they don't even cheer for and furthermore plays in the other conference than their team has an injury or loses a game. Way to show your true colors. Ever heard about courtesy or sportsmanship? I guess not. I applaud you!

p.s.: I put it in brackets because I'm hopint the first sentence applies.

i just have to hahahh at all this comparing ****....we are comparing a one time all star and a guy who is just starting to get his legs to two perennial allstars and sure fire hall of famers.
and im not saying that Bynum and Gasol are minor but you gotta find ways to win. Houston is without the best center in the league. one of the biggest differences makers in the league and they arent griping. so lakers fans should shut it too.

Yes, but the Lakers arent very talented outside of their top 3 players.
Their role players are basically shooters.
Who of Fisher, Sasha, Walton, Vlad, Farmar makes you think defensive stopper amongst that group.
How about rebounders. Turiaf is undersized and MBenga was basically a nobody.
The Lakers are a top heavy team who relies on its stars to win it games.
Kobe, Pau/Bynum. With them the rebounding is better. The anchoring D makes up for the pathetic laker defense on the perimeter. Without them, they are all exposed as one dimensional shooters who
cant board
cant defend
and cant penetrate to the hoop to put pressure on the defense.
So, basically, thats the issue. The lakers with Bynum/Pau are great. The lakers without them are CRAP because D and rebounding goes to utter Sht.

there is a terrible double standard going on. When the Lakers are healthy they have the best role players and bench in the NBA. When they are not healthy, the guys they have are life long NBDL players. Stick to one story.
heres what i think
Fisher- Just a shooter. A spot up SG in a PG's body
Walton- Too Slow.
Farmar- Spot up shooter. Horrible handle. needs to work on PG skills
Vlad- Horrible defender just a shooter
Turiaf- Without the energy hed be cut all the way back in High School.
Sasha- Shooter...no...GUNNER has no conscience when it comes to shooting.
everyone needs to make up their mind....do the lakers have competent role players or don't they. fans are so ridiculous. stop flip flopping and following others. make a decision.

I think if they got it clicking and their significant youth isn't much of a problem, they have a serious chance to go to far this season. Certain questions and variables there, though. With or without Bynum.
But, the (even) better stuff for the Lakers is after this season and beyond. Most likely (relating to this years playoffs).

Gasol said it feels like 2 weeks. 2 weeks has him out for not only the next two games, but both golden state games as well. This really puts the pressure on Kobe to get it done as they can't afford to go 1-6 over a 7 game stretch that has started 0-2.
Not a good sign how they folded down the stretch. A 2 point game with 6 minutes left, they lose by 12, Kobe has 2 points during that stretch.

what's incredible is that by decent odds (utah being great at home, dallas playing pretty good)....the lakers will be the 7th seed on friday morning, and possibly the 8th seed by monday night.
they're almost guaranteed to drop 6-7 spots in the standings over the course of 3 games/5 days...and potentially can drop from the 1st seed to the 8th in 8 days.
