No I love it when people don't care about all the hard working people who spend hundreds to watch them play a game and they tank it while making 20 million dollars and never being held accountable for his tanking by major media outlets. Your the one enthralled because despite the fact that someone who knows KG better then you, me, or anyone here says something about him you deny it based solely on the image and reputation despite the fact that nor KG or any of KG's teammates from last year has denied it yet.

your a joke. your putting WAY to much stock into what one of the worst owners over the past 20 years is saying. hes obviously a pub whore who needs to see his name in the news on a a consistent basis. therefore he cant seem to drop old news.
KG did respond to this, and has anybody asked his teammates from last year about this?? if not, stop, your just makin yourself look worse than you already do.

See, your so infactuated by him it's actually funny. One of the worst owners ever>>>>>>>>KG fanboys and Jim Rome or w/e sports guy you see defending KG like their life depended on it when it comes to knowing KG. What does Glen being a bad owner even have to do with the fact that he says KG tanked it? In fact one of the reasons glen is a bad owner is because he tied himself down with KG and payed him like someone with the ability to carry a franchise which is was so obviously not. KG responded to this- yes, with this classless interview with David Aldridge. Shows the taist of some people? WTF? Did KG not expect David to ask him about this? He does have a obligation as a respected member of the media. Maybe if KG was a respectful enough person to talk to the media before the damn game instood of sitting in the locker room like a prima donna who can't be spoken to David could of focused more on the Celtic's great road win but I disgress. KG never denied tanking in his response. And how the hell would I know if someone has asked one of his teammates about the situation but what I do know is that unless it's being under reported no one has taken the initiative to defend the oh so loyal and passionate KG.

I do respect the effort KG gives but I don't feel like entering the KG pissing contest because it doesn't really matter.
What comes out of this comment is not anything about KG. The owner looks pathetic by complaining about the final 5 games of a season where the team was 20+ games out of the playoffs. Why are you whining about this now? Those comments just make the owner and the team look bad (and this is coming from someone whose team is run by an ownership group that defines bad publicity).

KG's cast wasn't weak it was practically non existent. Basketball is a team game. One player can't carry a team of nobodies. Not even MJ. On the other hand when someone succeeds we can't take away credit because they have a better supporting cast. The reason C's went 7-2 was because it was a short stretch of games. In short stretches when a superstar is out his team mates will sometime elevate their games to compensate. Boston without KG the whole season is probably around .550. A good team but no where near contender. It's not a coincidence Boston became a flocking ground for FA's after KG came.Nebroc wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
How has KG proven he deserved that much money? THis year is supposed to shut his critics up? Wow, he can play with two all-star and a great cast of role players capable of of going 7-2 even without him and that means he deserves one of the biggest contracts ever? It's just my opinion but I think if you make KG money it means you should be able to atleast drag your team to a first round exit every year if your cast is weak.
My Starting 5:
PG: Allen Iverson
SG: Paul Pierce
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Patrick Ewing

props nebroc, but i doubt you'll get too many favorable responses. No one likes to hear the truth, most of the posters here just keep repeating stuff that ESPN throws back at them. Once you put up some facts and common sense they come back with the same old "intensity" "no help" "heart" arguement. It's like they have a template saved up in their profile titled KG's little defenders.

When I say carry a bad squad I mean like to the playoffs. I don't have unrealistic expectations, I really don't, but I don't think if your as univserally heralded as KG is (and well paid) that taking your team to the playoffs year in year out is too much to ask. If you pay a guy- what was it 226 mil total and he gets you out the playoffs once I think you can afford to tell what you feel happened last season. Not to mention that the quote and the context of it makes it seem as if Glen was defending his young squad from tanking allegations and that seems a bit valent to me, sorry.Albanian Damien wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

On a radio talk show this afternoon someone with inside sources claimed that the Wolves asked KG to sit the 2nd and 4th quarters of games once they were out of the playoffs. KG said he either wanted to play the entire game or not at all, he ended up playing not at all. That puts the tanking responsibility squarely on Wolves mangagement.
