unless they keep making stupid moves

thats the main thing.. isaiah keeps making stupid moves cuz he has to win now, so he thinks extremely short term w/his signings and trades... jerry west, or any competent gm for that matter, needs to come in and implement a plan that will take a couple of years to see big results... or else just take my nets gameplan and make a wise trade for a superstar (ie the kidd trade 8 yrs ago, or boston's moves this season) that can transform a team instantly

Yes, he had them right there...they'd be a dynasty right now if it wasn't for the horrible Otis Thorpe trade...he got them in perfect position to become the next dynasty for years to come if they would've had the lottery go there way...do you remember how stacked that team was??? they won 50 games that year without the lottery pick...

Jason Williams/Earl Watson
Bonzi Wells/Mike Miller
James Posey/Shane Battier
Bo Outlaw/Stromile Swift
Pau Gasol/Lorenzen Wright

now throw in Carmelo, who they would've taken had they got to keep the pick, or LeBron if they won the lottery and you're looking at a team that grows together with one of the best teachers in basketball...

he still made another great trade with Rudy Gay for Shane Battier, which is very similar to the Kobe for Vlade trade...Gay isn't going to be as good as Kobe, but he's got a all-star written all over him...

by his 3rd year with the Knicks doing it his way, they'll be contenders in the east...

Because it will take a miracle to fix the Knicks.
