Pretty much, so he picks two bad games for Paul (which happen to be against the 2 best defenses in the league) and places the weight of the season on them.

Quality journalism there folks.

Peja has actually been really surprising to be honest, he uses his length really well, and he defends better than expected.

Tyson really gets too much credit for the Hornets defense, the scheme is nice, Tyson, David, and Paul all defend their man really well, and Paul's steals disrupt everything, but Tyson hasn't truly developed into an anchor yet.
People see Tyson and they notice he's tall and skinny so they figure he is a great shot blocker. It's odd.

Tyson is a great defender when he is aggressive. The problem is this year in particular he keeps hiding when people attack the basket because he doesn't want to foul.

He still alters plenty of shots, but he doesn't block as many.

As a result, he plays more minutes and fouls less.

I'll take it.

hornets have fallen a lot on the defensive end in the second half. and its no surprise, 4 of the starters play heavy minutes. and there really isn't an exceptional defensive player on the team either.

the key for success in the playoff is for the players, west, tyson, peja and chris - to not get rattled when the other team gets aggressive. teams like the spurs, rockets and the jazz are those type of teams that will get into their heads.

and then the players start to complain to the refs that they aren't getting calls. well, get used to it. these hornets are last or second to last in free throw attempts. stop complaining. the refs aren't the reason why you attempt so few free throws. they aren't out to get you!
