Yeah, you're right, but really I don't think Wallace should have any, this whole decade should have been Duncan or KG, with maybe 1 to Wallace.

I disagree, Wallace anchored the one of the best defense in the league while putting up some great stats. I say he deserves his first two, but not his last two.

Maybe im alone, but i think Rasheed was the best defender on that team.

The point is that Duncan has always anchored even better defensive teams without having as many elite defensive players around him. Plus, both Duncan and KG are significantly better as man defenders.

You are alone. The first two. Before Sheed was on the team.

I'll be shocked if KG doesn't win it.

top 4 teams in the l in defense: spurs, rockets, celtics, pistons.

kg, tay prince, shane battie, td or bowen. one of them, even if camby makes excellent stats or artest is one hell of player.

looks like shane battier is not a good defender cause he don't have any tattoos or something.

Bowen's D hasn't been DPOY-level this year..it has been lately, but it wasn't for most of the year..

Yeah, no KG or Battier makes this poll kind of ridiculous. Most other years, Battier may be a good choice, but KG has anchored a historically good defense. He isn't the only reason for the team's defensive improvement (Thibodeau is a brilliant defensive coach and they have gamely defensive players all around), but he's a big part of it.

KG deserves it no doubt... but I'd be a envious little Spurs fan as hell if he got one this year for doing what Duncan has been doing all decade. Why should the voters start using their brain now?

People are stupid and that is why they vote for stats instead of impact. Camby is often not even the best defender on his team but is a favorite for the award.

stats are not their, but if you guys want to vote for him, then that is fine.

^ LOL indeed, THIS is why i never use stats to evaluate players, i watch the game, KG impact on a game is far greater than his defensive statistics.

Maybe he missed my entire post.

And no, Battier doesn't deserve any love as DPOY, but a lot of these guys don't... so yea.

KG or Duncan

as some said..

Celtics are best defensive team with Garnett... he isnt MVP material, for debatable reasons but defensively... he anchors that Celtics team.

Duncan... well its injustice for him not to have one all these years...
