Possible for all first round (west) series go to 7 games?

Post#2 » by tmacformvp07 » Tue Apr 8, 2008 9:22 pm

As it stands right now the matchups would look like:

1. New Orleans Hornets vs 8. Denver Nuggets / Golden State Warriors

2. San Antonio Spurs vs 7. Dallas Mavericks

3. Los Angeles Lakers vs 6. Phoenix Suns

4. Utah Jazz vs 5. Houston Rockets (HC)

Would it be an upset if Denver or GS beat New Orleans?

Would it be considered an upset if Dallas beats Spurs??

If those were the matchups, I don't think any of them would go 7 games.

You're kidding yourself if you think that the Houston/Utah matchup goes seven games. Utah in 6, MAX.

I also see New Orleans destroying Golden State if they play them -- it would be the same type of series as the Utah/GS series from last year.

LA/PHX would be good... and same with SA/DAL

We got the bragging rights. Utah Jazz = WCF, T-Mac = Early 1st round exit.

Anytime a team loses with HC Advantage it is considered an upset because it means they were the favorite.

You gave your opinion, I gave you mine. I don't think me being a Jazz fan has anything to do with anything.

I don't see the Rockets winning a game here in Salt Lake... and I see us definitely winning at least one game in Houston. Either way, we'll have more to talk about after next week when they play eachother.

Oh, and yes, we do have the bragging rights.

Well anytime you make statements like this you open yourself up for taking fire. Having a "Boo Fisher" sig (which many, including me, consider distasteful) certainly doesn't help your credibility or get you any extra respect.

I'll gladly say many Jazz fans are maligned on this board. But there are definitely reasons why so many posters are prejudiced against you.

Its not openig myself up for fire -- I backed up my statement in my next post, saying I don't think Houston could win at Utah, and I think the Jazz could steal one in Houston. Thats why I think it will go 6 games max.

And my sig is more of a joke than anything else about how big of a deal the whole fisher-booing thing was here on realgm. I don't care if you think I am 'credible' or not and I definitely don't want or need your respect. Trust me.

I think all the series (of the matchups provided by the OP) besides the LAL/PHX and SAS/DAL will go less than 7 games.

It's possible but not probably for the Lakers to go 7 games.

All in 6 or 7, and no upsets there because all the teams are equal, maybe if Spurs end in 1th seed and the Nuggs/GSW beat them, people will consider that an upset

It is *possible* for ANY series to go 7 games.
In either Conference, not just the West.
Possible, yes. Probable, no.
