Good blocker is not the same as being a good defender. AI is great at stealing the ball but many consider him a below average defender and perhaps even a liability.

You realize about 95% of all predictions have Paul,Kobe,LBJ,KG and Dwight as the first team? Dwight is more dominant than Amare on both ends of the floor period.

And the ones without Dwight had Duncan, not Amare. There may have been a time when Amare was better than Dwight, but that time is not now.

I've always thought he was ROY. He's had to carry of team of scrubs since day one. It's ridiculous. The only knock on his game is his bulk and his FG%. However both of those problems will get fixed as he continues on this league, and his FG% has gradually gone up. I feel the problem was that before he got drafted he got over hyped and people had unrealistic expectations. This kid is gonna be a star without a doubt but maybe not as amazing as he was expected to be. He's out playing every rookie. If he doesn't win ROY I will lose respect for all the voters.

MVP:

Kobe Bryant

DPOY:

Kevin Garnett (Wishful thinking on my part, seeing as how the people who actually vote for this award tend to look at stats more than the overall defensive impact of the player. This is why Tim Duncan has never won the award he so rightfully deserved in a number of seasons in the past.)

G - C. Paul
G - K. Bryant
F - L. James
F - K. Garnett
C - D. Howard

All-NBA 2nd:

G- S. Nash
G- E. Ginobli
F- P. Pierce
F- D. Nowitzki
C- T. Duncan

All-NBA 3rd:

G- D.Williams
G- A. Iverson
F- T. MacGrady
F- A. Stoudamire
C- Y. Ming

All-NBA Defensive 1st:
G - C. Paul
G - K. Bryant
F - K. Garnett
F - T. Duncan

Chris Paul

But if he's a guard, there's no way to exclude a defender as tough as him. In fact, his good D dates back to his SA days. I'm surprised some of you think that Battier and LeBron are better than him.

Battier always guards the opposing teams best offensive player. he's had to guard Kobe, Monta Ellis, B. Diddy, Joe Johnson, Iggy, Paul Pierce, Hedo, Rashard Lewis etc. not to mention can u imagine a 6'8-6'9 Battier chasing around AI? Battier is really underrated as a defender if he doesnt make at least the all defensive 1st or 2nd team then the sports writers who voted need to be slapped.

I know he's a great defender, but Sjax has to guard the best player, whether he's small and quick like TJ Ford or Chris Paul, or a 7 footer like Bosh or Dirk. In fact, he guards everybody except for huge centers like Shaq, Yao, Dwight, etc. Plus, he's given everybody he's guarded nightmares. But he should make an all nba D team once in his career, since he's much better than Hughes and Bell, who were perennial at one point.

As for LeBron being all defense, I find that laughable.

MVP:

Kobe
CP3
Lebron

MIP:

Hedo. Don't really see how anyone could win this award over him.

ROY:
Durant
Horford

DPOY:
KG

As a nuggets fan I do NOT feel that Camby is even remotely deserving of this award. He is, however, deserving of the distinction of most overrated defender in the league, if not overrated player period.

COY
1. Byron Scott
...
30. George Karl

All NBA First:
CP3
Kobe
Lebron
KG
Dwight

All NBA Second:
Nash
Iverson
Amare
TD
Yao

All NBA Third:
D. Williams
TMac
Melo
Boozer
Camby (lack of worthy candidates... weakest player significantly on this list)

Hard to leave Dirk off the 3rd team but I just don't like his game and think Boozer has been significantly better this year.

No Paul Pierce 'cause I think Melo is a better player than him, period.
