We have never lost in the 1st round in the Tim Duncan era...

I'm not saying they will lose in the 1st round, but it would be stupid to think just because they haven't lost in the 1st round before they won't this year either.

It would be like saying "Spurs have never won a championship in an even number year, so they won't win this year".

As far as the Mavs, I think they are very underrated and are capable of beating any team in the league in a seven game series but its upto Avery to not get outcoached.
Thank you Bryan Colangelo.

I think the mavs certainly can give a team like LA or San Antonio a scare.
Whether they can upset them is another question

Well it will be because we weren't good enough this particular year to be a championship team.

they are playing well..they are definitely going to be competitive..

the Mavs don't know how to chew their food well though..they better have some paramedics on the sideline for every game..CPR is a must..

Was that intended to be some kind of clever satire ? If so, I would highly recommend you discontinue drinking that merky river water.

Being the 7th seed and somewhat underrated is great for the Mavs. No one has high expectations for them this year, so they might be more relaxed when the playoffs start. Last year they're only thinking of the Finals and forgot they had to play the whole playoffs before getting there. They have a great homecourt and great and experienced players. They've been playing a lot better lately. I don't see why they can't upset the number 2 seed.
Also props to Dirk. People are always calling him soft, but whenever he gets injured, he always comes back sooner than expected. The guy is a warrior.

Mavs are better than the Jazz. Utah is the most overrated team in the west.
