If Reggie Evans was just a hair more talented and a good bit smarter I'd hype him up as much as I hype Lee. I love players who aren't focused on scoring (I just wish Lee wasn't so unfocused on defense). Lee is also a damn good passer, and I like big guys who can pass. And hey he even beat (robbed) James White in a slam dunk contest. He's a really solid player (and he's pretty much the only Knick worth anything) so that's why people hype him. Nothing (or very very little) to do with race, dude.

This is obviously just an agent trying to up the value of a player like David Lee to up there players values so they can get more money for themselves. If David Lees agent were to say this then I would have to say he needs to be fired.

On another note, Emeka Okafor's agent is smiling big after reading this.

I think that we have a winner...as soon as I heard this, my first thought was that the 'rival agent' is likely Jeff Schwartz, who represents Okafor. He's been asking for a max or near-max deal, and Charlotte hasn't been willing to budge. By making Lee a 'max player', the logical extension is that giving the max to Okafor is an absolute no-brainer.
