Dirk did the right thing, West was just being a punk, and Cuban was 100% right.

2poor does not represent all Hornets fans he was good til the Hornets started being a good team now he is homer off the deep end and just incites everyone

Go look on any of the major Hornets sites, the sentiment I share is one shared by most of the [internet represented] fanbase. Maybe not that of non-fan onlookers or long-winded bandwagoners, but thats why we're here, right?

If you want to clarify, you could say that YOU were a good fan until the Hornets got good and it wasn't as easy to like a former team that was no longer a lovable loser. I've been a rabid Hornets homer since I got here.

tell your boy david west to guard dirk instead of acting like a little kid.

ever thought that maybe dirk is clumsy and is hobbled with a wonky leg, but is warrior, came back, but is still affected by that leg.
what makes you think dirk did it on purpose, because thats the only reason for someone to act the way david did?

if dirk did it on purpose and is some dirty guy, he would have smacked david back, but no, he's classy.

btw, lol on chandler pretending to be a good defender. i guess he decided Saturday was his first day. we all know chandler gets beat on layups all the time and really is just a rebounder and not a great defender.

but his move on dirk was hilarious. trying to show dirk up by getting into his armpits. i saw that same move by kevin garnett during that celtic sweep of texas. he did to to dirk, and almost got away with it. kevin got called for the foul, and dirk elbowed him, by accident - its was a massive blow to kg's head. he got hit so hard he fell to the ground.

what did kg do? he got back up and moved on. he didn't start a fight. and the blow to the head to kg was definitely a bigger hit than what david got. david barely got hit.

kg took it like a man for getting so close. tyson instead chose to act like a punk after pretending to play defense.

come to think of it, so are you.

we don't live in an episode of The Wire.

put your hands up if you think david would have tried that on kobe bryant, melo, kg, shaq.....i hear crickets.

Dirk is not showing restraint here as everyone is giving him credit for.

The issue here is that Dirk had NO reaction. He doesnt flinch or pull away... NOTHING.

Personally, I believe its a Euro personal space thing. If anyone here has ever been to outside the US you will see that people tend to get much closer than we Americans find comfortable. Men even kiss... its not a gay thing, its just different from us.

Being born and raised here in the US. If a man puts a hand in your face, playoffs or not, you need to let him know - That is unacceptable.

Now, if the NBA is everything they say it is, West needs to be suspended and fined for trying to provoke Dirk.

edit: you've further made it clear that you only half watched the game I guess. the technical Tyson got was quite a turning point and Dirk really didn't do much in the second half. in the 4th quarter alone he was 2-6 or so and had a couple shots blocked by your boy West. Paul also was midway through going bonkers on the Mavs and that only further fueled him.

I will say again that I think what West did was stupid in that he could've needlessly got himself suspended. disrespectful? sure, I guess I wouldn't want someone touching my face like that. no more than I'd want someone throwing elbows and other appendages anyways.

Maybe for southern europeans and latin americans, but not for Germans.

retaliate does not mean punch. Dirk could have retaliated without getting tossed or earning a suspension. Anyway, I just lost any respect I had for David West.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that Dirk isn't going to try to act gangster, OK?! Anybody ever been to Wurzburg?! Who was gonna teach him that you had to pose if somebody got in your face on a basketball court?! It just isn't his style, never has been, never will be. Personally, I think he'd look like an idiot if he tried to pull that crap.

Dirks' a 10 year vet, 7 time all-star, 7 time all-NBA, MVP. He's 11th ALL-TIME in NBA playoff points per game. He's 22nd ALL-TIME in NBA playoff rebounds per game. There's nothing soft about him or his game.

Now, I wouldn't mind seeing Dampier slap the spit out of somebody every once in a while. That would make me happy.

I don't post on the Nuggets board anymore. Their opinion is their opinion. I did stop because of many of the undesirable posters that have surfaced over there though.

Does anyone besides Jazz fans get along with Jazz fans here?

yeah thats it. because of tysons and david being so stupid, dirk forget how to play basketball.

we are so lucky we aren't' playing the pistons or celtics.

i see a bunch of suspensions coming the hornets way if we played them in the first round because they are so physical and defensively sound.

david would cry himself to sleep because kg and sheed know how to play defense. something david still can't quite grasp.

and reality, something 2poor can't grasp either.
