What do the Mavericks need to do this offseason?

Post#1 » by JordansBulls » Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:32 pm

Seeing they are down 3-1 in the first round and if they lose in the first round this year what should they do this offseason?

Should they trade Josh Howard? Should they trade Dirk? Should they fire Avery and get Larry Brown in there?

What should they do to remain contenders?

Get a defensive minded backup C that can stay on the floor in fast games, get a good shooter playing the 2/3 spot. Start playing defense again. Honestl, i don

They need a leader who can back up his talk in the game. Kidd just can't do that anymore. I would like to see them try to go after Iverson, maybe use Howard as bait. Put all their eggs in one basket by getting two of the most championship desperate players in the league. A lineup of:

Kidd
Iverson
Some 3 point shooter
Dirk
Dampier

Will do them wonders I think.

But it would probably take both Howard and Terry to pry Iverson from the Nuggets and that just doesn't seem worth it for the Mavs.
