Strange that the Sixers seemed to do quite well against the West powerhouses in the second half of the season - you know, where they got like 20 something wins so they could get into the playoffs?
What's up with that?
Meanwhile, all the West "powerhouses" fighting over the last 4 spots look as pathetic as expected with typical lack of defense that works oh so well in the playoffs.
The only West team that will beat Detroit/Boston are the Spurs, as usual. Nobody else from the West can win championships.

Keep rehashing the same, logically flawed arguments, okay?
Haha, two rebuttals that appeal to authority while having that authority be a mystery! "Revisionist history even though I can't seem to point out what is different about the history!' Typical of someone that is inexperienced enough in watching basketball to believe in West supremacy

You can at least try and figure out why the "sucky" 76ers seem to have beaten several West powerhouses in their dominant second half of the season...

LOL @ someone who was following the MVP watch thread and is trying to bring up a logical concept that he knows absolutely nothing about.
I was appealing to authority? What authority?
Enough has been written (with more than sufficient evidence) to show and reason that the West has been the stronger, better conference the past few years. The fact that you're citing the 76ers (as though they're some indication of the conference as a whole) or that you're citing the two-top teams (again, as though they're some indication of the conference as a whole) is fruitless. Just stop before you hurt yourself.

The west is better on the whole, no doubt. My argument was that out of the best 8 PLAYOFF teams the east had 4 of them. I'll make it the top 9 to include the suns....
Magic
Boston
Pistons
Cavs
Spurs
Suns
Lakers
Jazz
Hornets
5 west and 4 east. Pretty balanced at the top IMO. But no doubt the bottom of the west trumps the east. The non-playoff teams in the east are absolutly garbage.
