Ah yes, on the decline putting up 45/15/5/1/3 in the playoffs.

Duncan will be placed at the 5. KG at the 4. They are both considerably better than Howard or Amare.

In the coming years Howard and Stoudamire will get theres. Not quite yet though.

As much as Duncan deserves it for the playoffs, denying Dwight who's an actual center, by puting Duncan out of position would be robbery. Besides Dwight has been a much bigger impact to his team during the regular season than Duncan. IMO Manu has been the MVP for the Spurs this year. Duncan shows up in the playoffs, not so much in the regular season, so lets give credit, where credit is due.

Howard
Garnett (DPOY, biggest turnaround for a team in NBA history, etc..)
Lebron
Kobe
Paul (i hope Williams steals this position next year :D )

So I guess we're allowed to make up our own stats and try to trick people into thinking they are legitimate. Well Howard . . Howard put 60/30/10/5/4 in the offs. Hmm . . . I'm not good at falsifying statistics

Garnett.

It is close enough I don't have a problem with someone picking Duncan, but it should be noted that this was pretty far from Duncan's best year.

Who would you take off, and why? I hope you're not wanting to drop KG for Duncan.

who would i take off? how about the entire list.

Its

g-Kobe Bryant
g-Chris Paul
F-Amare
F-Lebron James
C-Dwight

That is based upon this seasons stats.

Those 5 players dominate those positions this year offensivley.

Defensivley its a different story.

So let me get this straight, I must have missed this rule change. The NBA now plays platoon ball like the NFL. Players only play one way, either offense or defense but not both?

Unless that's what you're telling me, Amare's offense was not so much better than Duncan's and KG's to offset his defensive deficiences.

I have no idea why you would think it reasonable to ignore defense.

This shouldn't be a debate. Garnett easily.

Based on how the regular season went at Boston, I can see your point.
But, if I could take either Duncan or KG for to start next season, I'd take Duncan. He just does whatever it takes to win. He won when Manu and Tony were unknow commodities. Are they as good as they seem or does Duncan make the game easier for them because he commands so much attenion at both ends of the court.

I don't remember KG outplaying Duncan when he was in the west.

But who's the PF Duncan (the proven better player) or KG (the biggest difference maker)

KG because of better record
