D-Wade on TNT Recap

Post#1 » by The Diesel » Fri May 2, 2008 3:17 am

Hey guys,

Would somebody be willing to post a full-recap of Wade's appearance on TNT tonight?

And did they ask him about the Shaq/Riley feud and what he thought about the whole thing with Shaq leaving, etc?

Thanks!

Also, in addition to posting a recap of the whole Shaq being traded issue, feud with Riley, etc.

For those who saw him tonight, did he do a good job in general?

Because I seem to remember him saying in the past he wants to work in the media when he retires.

Was he good?

Thanks!

I appreciate the videos (they are funny), but did they ask him any questions about Shaq?

You know, the trade, his ugly exit, feud with Riley, his role in Phoenix, their relationship now, etc.?

Thanks!

And in general, was he good?

That's the stuff I am most interested in...I was really disappointed they never asked Zo more questions about the Shaq/Riley feud since Zo is good friends with both and he had to step in between them at practice this season before Shaq and Riley got in a fight.

I hope Wade was good; he's a really good guy.

Wade was pretty good, but he didn't really talk much. Charles was monopolizing the time and Wade didn't really speak out much.

They asked him about Shaq, but he kind of dodged the issue. He basically said that he's still good friends with Shaq and didn't really talk about Shaq's comments about the Heat.

Yeah they asked him about the shaq comments, and he basically kinda brushed it off saying thats not really what we wanted, but hopefully we move on and that type of stuff, he didnt go much into detail.

He wished O'neal luck, they are still friends, and said phx didnt utilize him enough b/c they didnt get him more possessions in the post and use his great passing ability to get people better looks.

Overall, i thought he was great and funny. He kept making funny references to the tmobile commercials and stuff. Him and barkley are really tight apparently.

Thanks for the info!

I'm happy to hear he did well; he's a great guy and like I said before, I seem to remember he said he wants to work in the media once he retires.

Interesting to hear his comments about the way Phoenix used Shaq; I don't know if it's a matter of the amount of touches he gets as much as it's the fact that I think they keep posting him up in the wrong areas.

I think his limited role offensively is good for him at this stage in his career, but yeah, I don't think they used him as properly as they should have offensively.

Cool to hear that him and Wade are still good friends; Wade did the smart thing by dodging the ugly exit and Shaq's comments about Riley/Quinn/Davis.

It would have been great if he gave his honest opinion, but he did the smart thing by playing it safe and not choosing sides.

That way, he maintains his friendship with Shaq and his good relationship with Riley and his team-mates.

you can tell wade didn't want to hurt star jone's feeling, but also wanted to make sure that it was known that they aren't dating.

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

He'll be fine, but Chris Webber is a natural on that set. He blends with those guys so well...
