Monta is the best player on both teams (and Joe Johnson is my favorite player in the league)...and thats not even close.

ATL might have more youth in terms of numbers. But the quality is with the Warriors.

Hawks are a good team, but i fail to see Josh Smith as a really good player. Hes exciting, but i dont think hes that good. And hes soon the be getting a nice payday.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

I think I have to take the Warriors too. I think Wright will help cure the middle woes. Both need improvement to be championship caliber, but GS's lottery status is as much a condition of their circumstances as is ATL's playoff run.

Josh Smith is a slowly devolving AK47; it's inevitable.

Well if he can et AK skills he will be twice the player, as he has offense up the wazoo. Team structure has a lot to do too.

Well then Baron should be included also since hes only 29 and Harringotn whos only 28.
Marco Bellinelly cant forget him.

But any ways Id still pick the Hawks. Hawks just a center away from having a dynamite front court. Big Smoove fan

Horford
Smith

Not to mention that JJ turns 27 next month while Harrington and Davis both recently had their birthdays.

So now excluding Joe
the best player on both teams is Monta Ellis.
ATL have all sf/f's
while the warriors have a
pg/pf/c

Your choice.. I'd say the hawks juz cuz of their oosing talent, but the warriors aren't far off.

Brandon Wright may have the biggest ceiling. Monta would be better off with more size, Joe and Josh are going to do what they are now for many years. Wright because of his size may be the best player on either squads. You replace Biedrins with a legit center and Denver is in the lottery.

GS has a sick core.

Brandan WRight is a guy I defended a lot before the draft.

Monta Ellis is just fun to watch. Then there is that Italian guy and of course Biedrins.

But I think overall when you look at Acie Law, Josh Smith, Al Horford, Marvin, and Joe, (and potentially resigning Childress) that's too much young talent to overlook. And from top to bottom it's a more talented core.

In fact I say it's only 2nd to Portland in the NBA.

You have a potential lineup with 5 guys who can all push the ball up the floor, create for themselves and their teammates, rebound, and defend

Now that the AS IS is hashed out, who has the maneuverability to take it to the next level?

That all depends on

1)If Hawks re-sign their guys esp Josh Smith this off-season

2)Does Mike Woodson progress as a coach

But especially #1 . Josh Childress and Josh Smith are both FAs this off-season and if they don't somehow re-sign at least Josh Smith, you can throw all this potential talk out the window

And would a travesty it would be

You're saying Biedrins is not a legit center? He's been absolutely screwed over by Nellie ball. He's our best rebounder, he gets easy buckets down low at a super high percentage, played less minutes than last year and still nearly averaged a double double.

^^^ I totally agree. Biedrins could definitly be a 15 or 20/10 guy. That having been said, I still think the Hawks have a better future. Though the warriors are definitly a better team right now.
