I agree with them being overlooked, I was comparing Parker and Ginobli's stats to Pierce/Allen and they look much better this year, even if you don't adjust the minutes played.

parker - 20 ppg 7.3 apg 2.3 rpg

people honestly make cases for nash being better than parker now? maybe a few years ago but come on.

manu might be the most talented guard after kobe in the league.

this coming from someone that doesn't even like the spurs.

Yea, nash averaged 2 points less than parker per game but averaged 5 more assits. He also shoots a better percentage from the field and almost twice as better from beyond the arc.

Athough nash is a defensive libility, parker isn't much better. He has the luxury of bruce bowen who guards teh elite point guard in the league plus the spurs team defense is great. Nash doesn't have the luxury of not guarding the opposing teams best guard and a solid team defense behind him. When Parker can get a jumpshot and has to guard the other teams best guard, then maybe people will consider him better than nash.

People really think Kidd is better than Parker still. Kidd may not even be better than Devin Harris.

Parker being top 3 PG is tough. IMO Paul is the only one that you can definetely say he isn't better than. He isn't better than Nash of past years but he may be better than Nash now.

The thing about Parker is he probably would average a lot more assist and points on a worse team. He is probably the guy that most has that Kevin Johnson like ability.

I would say that Baron, Deron, and Parker are all about on the same level. I don't think Kidd and Billups is there anymore. I couldn't say much if you ranked him 3 or 5 with that group.

Reason I like Parker over Deron is because you can't play defense if someone keeps going right up the middle on you. Thats why you can't even start talking about beating the Spurs until you find a way to slow down Parker.

My statement was based just on this year. Really I can not see any case made that Tmac had a better year than Manu.

pf:
1.dirk (he lead mavs to +50 for 8 years, and if he had manu, he already had 2 rings)
2. kg
3. d. west (schooled TD, the reason TD is good in the playoffs, because the opponent players guarded him were too soft, who are they? a old shaq? and .... TD, overrated.)

sg:
1.kobe (crazy stats... and too much fans here so i put him ahead of manu)
2.manu: the key factor of spurs' winning. he's the guy to make easy shot for everyone, and give good assists...

pg:
1.chris paul

As a long suffering Dirk fan, I can ASSURE you that the Mavs would KILL to trade Dirk for TD straight up. Have you forgotten Dirk's fabulous crusade last year to Golden State? Also, everybody knows how Duncan stunk it up last year so that SAS crashed out early. Hey, wait...

:wavefinger: dirk didn't have manu or bowen. dirk never had a 5 pts and 3 rebounds a game, when dirk is off, mavs is off, and when TD is off, there are still TP and manu... So, give the X factor manu to dirk, dirk could win 2 rings, don't forget that he beated spurs alone in the playoff, and scored 53 pts against suns... he did it alone.

Duncan's obviously in the top 3, the other two I don't think so. Parker's a great player, but I don't think you can make the arguement he's better than Paul, Williams, Davis, Nash, Arenas, or Billups just because of his finals MVP.

Manu's a little different because of how the Spurs use him. I'd put Kobe, Iverson, Wade, and Tmac ahead of him. After that it's arguable if he's better than Roy or Ray Allen.

If McGrady is bringing it like he did yesterday I would take him too. How often is that however. Tmac shot 41% this year and had a TS below 50. Tmac PER this year was 18. Manu was 24. His TS% was over 60. He shot over 40% from 3 when Tmac can't get over 30. Manu has been pretty much outplaying Tmac for a while now.

So Houston would be better off with Ginobilli than t-mac then huh?

here's what people don't understand about Ginobili..

he might be the most inconsistent player in the NBA..I like him and love having him on my team, but I don't know where the idea came that he could be a #1 option on a good team in the NBA..he can't..he's a great player WHEN HE'S ON..he had some amazing stretches during the regular season..but when he's off, which happens fairly often, he takes TERRIBLE shots and makes terrible passes..

he's not as good as Wade or McGrady..
