Teams with worse records than Toronto, while missing last year's starting SF (Garbo) and last year's starting PG (also second leading scorer).
Not sure why the Suns are ranked at the top when their record against the top WC teams looks like that of a lottery team.

Ahh yes, of course a 9 win team with the worst record in the league is somehow the 13th best team in the league.

I'm going with yes: Heres my quick list...
1. Spurs
2. Phoenix
3. Boston
4. Dallas
5. Detroit/Lakers
I don't think Detroit is better than Dallas. Every year Detroit looses in the playoffs they can never own up to it. I just don't think they play as good as they think, they have fat cat syndrome. The team is great, but I'm not sure top 5 is a given.
Top 5 is actually harder to asses then previously thought. A lot of great young teams (Hornets and Lakers) in the West can change my ranking with a great playoff runs. Plus, no one knows how good of an addition Kidd and Shaq will be.
Now that I think about it, I hate the Shaq-Marion trade. I would probably put Phoenix 4 and bump Dallas and Boston.

Dallas' big men will have a hard enough time picking up Kidd's man when he easily skates into the paint, never mind having to cover the opposing team's bigs!!!

Here I am deleteing a lot of the saved topics....ss_maverick wrote:Yep. And how far did Washington get last season? Oh wait, the exact same place.
I don't think people quite take into account that we just added a freaking HALL OF FAME point guard.
Oh and JES, I hope you'll enjoy having "I AM SS_MAVERICK'S BITCH" as your sig all offseason...
I just had to LOL at the argument on page 3.
