Lakers Home Games

Post#1 » by Kid Vicious » Fri May 30, 2008 10:50 am

Has anyone else noticed that at Lakers home games, only the court is under lights? The fans are in complete dark. Its a pretty cool effect!

Ive actually never noticed this before. Is this something that has been around for a while?

Maybe its just one of those things you don't notice until someone points it out.

It has been there since the start of last season.

It's something that was introduced last year. They were campaigning it as "Lights Out." The idea is similar to the Madison Square Garden where the Knicks play. At first they used a temporary lighting system to do it, but since it was well-received by the fans who saw it live, they made a permanent one and it's been there ever since.
