If he is forced to take the MLE it will be for one year in a place with no other scorers so he can get his numbers and get that max deal after next year.

I'll trade you Gil and EJ for TThib and Rondo...

 That team would give up 120 points a game. And I would love to see the chemistry and hear the quotes of those guys OFF the court, that'd be a circus for sure!

Salary cap aside, the Lakers lineup with their homeslice Gil would be best hands down, but that's why they're in the finals I guess, and why the NBA did that whole salary cap deal.

With two injury-riddled seasons, there's little chance I can see a team giving him huge money. He'll stay in Washington.

I wouldn't count that out by any means. My question is if Maggette opts out then Arenas is signed to the Clips... can they still S&T Maggette?

Washington is going to sign him to a big contract but not the max, then for the next 3 years they are going to get bounced from the playoffs by the Cavs in the first round.

Gilbert is more interested in money, big market, and being able to score a ton of points. He is an attention whore. I could see it hapening.

Dan Gilbert will rename the Quicken Loans Arena to Gilbert Arena, thus bringing Arenas to the Cavs.
