ESPN doesn't go into it because they gave 4.2 billion for broadcasting rights. they're not a credible sport source imo. I've never saw NASCAR on SportsCenter until they got the rights to broadcast it. Now every day you see some report about a redneck and his pit crew. Who Cares??? Hell while Spurs/LA series was going on, the ESPN Ticker didn't even update on it since the games were on TNT. They started updating it once the series was over and the lakers were moved to ABC. ESPN sucks, I can't wait for a new network to start offering news. There's thousands of guys like me who feel the same way.
If the NBA had contracts with NBC and TNT only, best believe ESPN would be knee deep into the investigation trying to get viewers/more info on this thing.
NBA Coverup, Stern controls ESPN?

If Stern controlled ESPN, the NBA would get better coverage than baseball, and it doesn't. As it is right now, except during the playoffs, ESPN does the bare minimum coverage on the NBA unless there is some controversy on the league that makes it look bad or some big star (mostly LeBron and Kobe) has done something stupid or unbelievably good. While Baseball Tonight and NFL Today are getting hourlong shows with these big features even during the offseason a lot of times, ESPN only can squeeze in a half-hour show on nights when nothing else is going on during the NBA season.
